Program and Clinic Coordinator/Case Manager
gmenendez@drribahc.org Gaby is a well seasoned professional, with over 14 years experience in the medical field and over 8 years working with children's programs in Orange County. Fully bilingual in Spanish, Gaby's understanding of special populations has enhanced our programs throughout. She has been a key liaison building and maintaining collaborations with community organizations, coordinating health educational programs, and customizing projects to deliver the highest quality community service.

In patient care, Gaby is well known as a team player, leading and following equally, always willing to fill in for several members of the team, as needed. She keeps herself up to date with staff, and program's needs, providing formative assessment and feedback, vital for summative evaluations and outcomes. Gaby also helps in the creation and proper translation of educational materials, training staff, supervising, and evaluating several aspects of the different projects for Dr. Riba's Health Club Program.

Overall, Gaby's combination of high education and quality experience plays an integral part in providing case management, consultant services, and patient care of the highest quality.
Jennifer Nelson

Jennifer A. Nelson, MS, RD, CDE

Registered Dietitian Jennifer has 30 years of experience working in the field of nutrition. She is a Registered Dietitian. She completed a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of British Columbia in Canada and a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, CA. Jennifer completed a one-year Maternal and Pediatric Internship at the University Affiliated Programs at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute and USC's Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator, a Certified Lactation Educator, and a Certified Health Fitness Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine. Jennifer has worked as a consultant for many health related organizations. She has developed curriculums and taught classes on infant nutrition, child nutrition, adult weight management, childhood weight management, nutrition in pregnancy, diabetes and diabetes prevention, addictions, and eating disorders.
Katy Dyer

Katy Dyer

Registered Dietitian Katy has over eight years of experience working with adults and children on nutrition and weight management. As our second Registered Dietitian, she sees patients and consults families on proper nutrition, as well as helps develop program curriculum. Katy consults with patients and families on nutrition issues, weight management, infant and child nutrition, and diabetes and diabetes prevention.
Rosario Olivera

Rosario Olivera

Outreach Coordinator Rosario coordinates community outreach for Dr. Riba's Health Club. She collects data in order to evaluate families' social needs. Rosario is a Certified Applicant Assistant; as such, she helps families apply for government assistance and directs them to health insurance programs. As needed, Rosario provides resources for food and clothing, counseling services, parenting classes, legal services, etc. She also teaches classes for MOMS, the Fit ClubTM Program, and for Pretend City in Irvine. In addition, she is ServSafe certified.
Brandon Farmer

Brandon Farmer

Lead Fitness Instructor and Outreach Coordinator
bfarmer@drribahc.org As the Lead Fitness Instructor, Brandon is responsible for teaching and coaching program participants and training clinic patients one-on-one. Brandon creates workouts, develops circuit trainings for all age groups, and designs and implements the Fit Club after school and summer programs at its various locations. He also coordinates community outreach for Dr. Riba's Health Club including preschool lessons, Pretend City classes, nutrition education, and involvement in health fairs. Brandon is currently working towards his Masters in Kinesiology. He has also been an employee of OC Fast-Twitch Training Center for several years where has helped train Olympic gold medalists and professional athletes. Brandon is an Orange County native and a sports enthusiast.
Karla Rentie

Karla Rentie

Fitness Instructor and Medical Assistant
krentie@drribahc.org Karla is also responsible for designing and implementing the Fit ClubTM after school and summer program, as well as leading the cooking and nutrition component of the program. In addition to teaching and coaching program participants, Karla is an amazing dancer and uses her skills to teach Fit Club participants various dance routines. Karla also acts as a Medical Assistant, supporting DrRHC staff in providing clinical care. Karla received a Bachelor's degree, is a sports enthusiast, and plays an important role in nearly all Health Club projects.
